I've often heard children say, "There's nothing to do today". I beg to differ. I'd like to inspire you to do something. Anything. Read. Bake. Hike. Fish. Plant. Sail. Climb. Play. Reach. Move. Laugh. Dream; and take time to sit with me on The Old Granite Step.

Recycle your Christmas cards.

People spend quite a bit of money on Christmas cards, so why not

reuse them?  It's the time of year when we're putting our holiday decor away so instead of tossing those Christmas cards, let's put them to good use.  Previously used cards can be made into lovely gift tags.  Simply cut any writing out of the cards and decide how you're going to cut out the artwork.  They can be all shapes and sizes.
Using a hole punch, put a hole in the card and tie with a pretty ribbon.  Now you've got fabulous gift tags for next year.  Simple and green!
