I've often heard children say, "There's nothing to do today". I beg to differ. I'd like to inspire you to do something. Anything. Read. Bake. Hike. Fish. Plant. Sail. Climb. Play. Reach. Move. Laugh. Dream; and take time to sit with me on The Old Granite Step.

Spring sailing in Mattapoisett.

With an air temperature of 45 degrees and a

brisk wind, these kids were bundled up and ready to sail.
Despite the fact that it felt like Winter was hanging on, it was a beautiful afternoon for practicing.
As if they were freshly laundered, the white sails stood out against the blue sky.

 Preparing to leave the dock.

Sailing towards the dream of a larger boat someday?

Bundled up against the cold and certainly having fun.

 Catching the wind.

Picking up some speed and leaving a wake behind.

“To reach a port we must set sail –
Sail, not tie at anchor
Sail, not drift.”
Franklin D. Roosevelt
