I've often heard children say, "There's nothing to do today". I beg to differ. I'd like to inspire you to do something. Anything. Read. Bake. Hike. Fish. Plant. Sail. Climb. Play. Reach. Move. Laugh. Dream; and take time to sit with me on The Old Granite Step.

Antique home up for auction on Maine's mid coast.

Have you ever wanted to own a big old rambling house on the coast of Maine?

When driving through Waldoboro, Maine last week, I couldn't help but notice the perennial forget-me-nots in the yard of this old house.
Then the sign caught our attention.  This "colonial style" home, circa 1830, will be auctioned off this coming Wednesday, June 1st at 11am.
Yes, it's in dire need of repair.  But do you have vision?  Look at the molding; intricate and lovely.
The auction listing says that it's in the process of being remodeled.  Some interior walls have been gutted; saving you some work.  A couple of large dumpsters would go a long way here.
The once loved home also has a once loved garden!  This wonderful arbor invites us in.
You can find the listing here.  Waldoboro is a stones throw from the ocean.  Many of these fabulous old homes in the center of town have been or are in the process of being renovated.  Perched next to the library, this historic home is just waiting for your time and talent!
